This is a co-sponsored program in collaboration with Lake County Forest Preserves and the History Center

Do you know the difference between a mastodon and a mammoth? Are you looking for a free, family-friendly activity this spring? Then come and join us at the History Center on Saturday, April 6 at 2:00 PM as we learn all about the Mighty Mastodons! These giant creatures weighed as much as 160 fourth graders and used to roam the land right here in Illinois! We’ll also explore how the local area looked during the Ice Age, and take part in some fun, kid-friendly, hands-on activities!

This children’s program is limited to 30 attendees (not counting adults accompanying children). We recommend this program to children 6 years and older.

This program will be hosted by Museum Educator at Lake County Forest Preserves Nicole Stocker.
