Join us this evening as Professor of History at College of Lake County Gregory Gordon retells the story of early African Americans' arrival and settlement in Illinois, specifically Lake County, during the post-Civil War era. With information on early communities, congregations, and microhistorical accounts, the origin of African American families and culture in the geographical context of Lake County is a discussion you certainly will not want to miss.
