“For me, the process starts with the study and research of the original object. It is important to understand the ways, tools, and methods used by the original craftsman…Even after 40 plus years, I enjoy working in my studio which can at times be either peaceful or very challenging as I strive to make each new piece better in some way than anything I have done before.” —William R. Robertson

Join us on Zoom at 7:00pm on Wednesday, March 15 for a fascinating discussion with miniaturist William R. Robertson. The discussion will focus on topics such as Robertson's start in miniature-making, his major projects and achievements during his lifelong career, his involvement in spreading the word of miniatures around the world, as well as his creative, constructive, and research processes.

William Robertson designs and builds historically accurate tools that in turn are used to build working replicas of objects. Bill’s works range from a Chester County spice chest to a fully operational microscope. Bill was always fascinated by small, detailed models, and out of that he built a unique career. They have been displayed all over the world – from the Smithsonian to The National Museum of Toys and Miniatures in Kansas City, Missouri.
