Join Assistant Professor of History and African American Studies at Lake Forest College Courtney Joseph, along with current African American Studies students, at the History Center to discuss Lake Forest College's development in the field of African American Studies, inclusion, and departmental development. Covering the origins, current research such as Richter Scholar students' research on Lake Forest College's first black graduate William Peyton, and future projects, Lake Forest College’s African American Studies department is committed to the engagement of experiences, histories, cultures, movements, and identities of African-descended peoples in the United States.
