The Art Institute of Chicago houses one of the largest collections of Narcissa Thorne's miniature rooms, built in the early to mid-20th Century. The meticulous layouts, compositions, and materials of these rooms not only pay homage both to the historical periods and locations the rooms reflect, but also the dedication and imagination of the craftsmen, such as Narcissa, devoted to their work.

In this program, we will be joined by former Thorne Rooms Curator at the Art Institute of Chicago Lindsay Mican Morgan. Lindsay Morgan will discuss her curatorial responsibilities, experiences, and share just how much attention to detail, precise care, and historical research goes into preserving and showcasing Narcissa's phenomenal miniature rooms at the Art Institute.
